EMERGENCY POOL CLOSURE 7/19/23

NOTICEPOOL AREA CLOSED

Due to an unexpected equipment failure, the pool area will be closed all day and evening on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 until 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 20, 2023.

Per OC Health Department requirements, the pool is required to be closed for this repair.   The pool will reopen Thursday.

The Association realizes the weather is hot and are working as quickly as possible to obtain the parts and reopen the pool.

SiFi Fiber Lines Installation 5/22-5/25

SiFi Fiber Installation Schedule!

We finally have a construction schedule! Be prepared for a little noise and inconvenience next week, but after that our community will be fiber ready for installation of GigabitNow’s high speed internet service which will be another option for us in addition to AT&T and Spectrum. It’s not mandatory–only those who subscribe will be hooked up.

Construction should start around 7:00 AM and end around 7:00 PM each day.

Monday, May 22 – Del Rey Dr/El Camino Ln/Valdez Cir/Solano Cir/Guadalupe Ln/Pala Cir

Tuesday, May 23 – El Camino Ln/Guadalupe Ln/Dolores Cir

Wednesday, May 24 – Dolores Cir/Guadalupe Ln/Los Padres Ln

Thursday, May 25 – Los Padres Ln/Del Rey Dr

Note: Some streets will be worked on more than one day. Be prepared.

NO PARKING INFORMATION

  • SiFi will be trenching and laying fiber lines in all streets on construction days.
  • No Parking on your street while construction is happening on your street. 
  • Your vehicle will not be able to exit or enter your garage.
  • You may only park on another street in a marked parking space.
  • If you don’t need your vehicle on construction day, you can leave it in your garage.  This will help with the limited on-site parking that we have.
  • Patrol Master will be notified to not issue citations or tow May 21-25.  Unless you are parked in a fire lane or not parked in a marked parking space.

Door hangers will start appearing on doors with more detailed information 5/19.  “No Parking” zones will start to be designated the weekend of 5/20-5/21.

Why Are Our Election Rules Changing?

Recently homeowners received in the mail, or by email, a notice of proposed changes to the Placentia Village Groves election rules.  Pursuant to Civil Code §4360 an Association must provide advance notice to members to allow for member comments before the Board of Directors votes whether to adopt said rule changes. 

The California Legislature passed amendments to California Civil Code §5100-5145 that took effect January 1, 2020. Those amendments significantly impacted HOA election rules and procedures.   The changes to be voted on by the Board of Directors is to bring the Placentia Village Groves election rules up to date with the Civil Code requirements.   The Board consulted with legal counsel and will be voting on the changes recommended by legal counsel. 

The revisions include updates to who can be an inspector of election and their duties, candidate qualifications, nominating procedures, notice of meeting and list of candidates, voting rights, and other changes.  To read the proposed changes, please refer to the letter you received in the mail, or you may download the letter from the following link: http://wp.actionlife.com/placentiavillage/wp-content/uploads/sites/362/2023/04/Proposed-changes-to-Election-Rules-2023.pdf
